Spring has arrived at Harney and Sons Tea
Recently we received the first posts from the tea growing regions. Darjeeling in India is very dry, so there is a risk of another sub-par season. Let us hope for rains soon. However the news is much better from China. All seems set for a good growing season. And the Chinese know how to make great tasting teas from the tiny little leaves. So soon, we will be able to offer new season’s Lung Ching, Bi Lo Chun and many others.
Mike is going over to Asia a little later than normal this year. Rather than get the early season green teas from Zhejiang Province in China, he will catch the high end Senchas and Gyokuros in Japan, and then off to Anxi, China for the Ti Quan Yin oolongs. The amazing thing is that this trip is not just for buying teas, as Mike will be selling also. We have someone who imports our teas into Japan and another into China. Who would believe that?
