Millerton Shop
Flight of Teas 1/26-27
January 23, 2013
This weekend we will be featuring a flight of teas favorited by a friend of ours here at the Millerton store. Lindsie will shortly be climbing the Harney ladder, and moving to the factory. Here are some of her favorites!

Hong Tao is a new Keemun that has arrived. It is a bit more medium bodied than our current Keemun selection (Hao Ya ‘A’, and Hao Ya ‘B’). Delicious notes of bittersweet coco, and toasty grassiness make this tea a current staff favorite. Balanced flavors and body are sure to please in this Chinese black tea.

Fenghuang Shuixian is not only one of Lindsie’s favorites, but a tea that is enjoyed by Michael and the rest of the Harney staff quite a bit as well. This Oolong style tea is bursting with peach and apricot flavors. It has a slight spice that balances out the tea wonderfully. The leaves are large and twisted, and have a wonderful russet color. A must have for your Oolong collection.

Soho blend, created by Emeric Harney, is a black tea aimed to please. Coconut, vanilla, and chocolate come together to make this a favorite combination of many customers. Perfect to enjoy after a nice dinner, or just to cure the sweet tooth anytime. In addition to tea leaves there are also amaranth flowers in the blend, creating a tea that appeals to all the senses.

Soba, a roasted buckwheat tisan, is a great caffeine free option on flight this weekend. A common drink in Japan, this is a perfect toasty option for this time of year. Simple and satisfying.
