BRR! New York City is blowing its chilling breath all over us! We will survive because we continue to have a surplus of hot tea in our hands! Come try and warm up with us at the tasting bar this weekend; try our Kukicha, Kaimosi CTC, and Organic Rooibos.
The Japanese culture is known for being very resourceful, especially when it comes to tea. Kukicha is brews a mellow body, containing tea stalks of green tea (so nothing goes to waste!) Due to the stalks being in the blend, Kukicha contains less caffeine than our standard green, but doesn’t lack that soupy, vegetal flavor we all love.
Coming from the Kaimosi Estate, which is located between Lake Victoria and the Great Rift Valley in Kenya, Kaimosi CTC was discovered by Emeric Harney. During his last visit, Emeric knew this tea was a great find. It brews like our CTC Assam, a red body with brisk taste. Although it is strong, Kaimosi CTC has a lesser bite to it, due to more oxidation time.
Having no caffeine naturally, Organic Rooibos is a popular herbal that comes from South Africa. Translating to “Red Bush,” this herbal has healthy properties just like tea. Carrying light but sweet notes, Organic Rooibos is the base of some of our popular herbal blends, including Thai Rooibos and Herbal Hot Cinnamon.
