For this weekends flight of teas here at Harney and Sons Millerton, we will be featuring a romantic selection of Valentine’s themed teas. You will notice a theme of sweet, comforting flavors. All of these teas are perfect to spend a day sipping with that special someone.
Love Life is a sweet and fruity flavored green tea. Layers of strawberry and coconut burst through a bancha green tea base. This tea also features roasted rice, adding a nice roasted flavor to the finish. 50% of proceeds from this tea will benefit the GMHC, an organization fighting to end the AIDS epidemic, and help all those affected.
Hao Ya A is a Chinese black tea. This intense Keemun is loaded with swirls of light bittersweet chocolate and toastiness. A perfect cup of tea for this time of year, and a great example of flavors that develop in tea without adding flavor. A strong nose, full body, and pronounced flavors make this keemun a favorite of ours.
Valentine’s blend encompasses two things on everyones mind this time of year: chocolate, and roses. This flavored black tea is a perfect pairing of these two. Sweet chocolate tones, paired with smooth floral rose, create a romantic combination and perfect gift for that special someone.
Spiced plum is our caffeine free herbal selection. Earthy cinnamon and plum make this a bit more of a full bodied herbal than most. A strong nose, and taste to match, will leave you combing through the layers of flavor in this infusion. A perfect spicy cup of tea, to warm up this time of year.
