Millerton’s Flight of Teas! March 9th & 10th
March 8, 2013
This weekend’s snow storm has left us craving a comforting cuppa. The warm flavours of fruit and spice are perfect for a wintry day.

Sungma 2nd Flush Darjeeling is a medium-bodied black tea from Darjeeling, India. While lighter than a traditional black tea from Assam (also from India) or Keemun (from China), it has notes of warm fruit compote and walnuts.

Da Hong Pao is a favourite in the tasting room when one is looking for a tea that is “warm and toasty.” It is stronger in flavour than the Darjeeling, with a heavy charcoal roasting, but still carries a relatively light body with peachy undertones.

Apple Cinnamon is a black tea flavoured with with juicy apple and subtle cinnamon, a lighter alternative to our Hot Cinnamon Spice. This tea was created by Emeric Harney, John Harney’s grandson, who is now the manager of our new shop in Manhattan, Harney & Sons SoHo, and whose birthday it is on Saturday!

Happy Birthday Emeric!
