Teas on Tap Weekend of 7/7 – 7/8
July 5, 2012
This weekend we will be featuring:
Sencha Scent of Mountains is grown in the village of Kawane. The cold and foggy climate dictates that the tea grow slowly, giving it a lovely vegetal aroma. The leaves can be brewed multiple times.
Hunan Yellow Sprout is a light and slightly fruity Chinese yellow tea that is reminiscent of Darjeeling teas.
Peach Iced Tea has notes of Georgia peaches and hand-picked full leaf Chinese black tea that has been combined together for a refreshing tea with sweet and earthy tones.
Thai Rooibos is a spicy blend of caffeine-free rooibos and spices, including cinnamon, ginger, coconut and lemongrass.
Come in and try all of these delicious teas!
Michael Harney has been the tea buyer and blender of Harney & Sons for twenty years. He travels to Asia and meets with tea producers from all the major tea countries, looking for the season's best teas. A graduate of Cornell University's School of Hotel Administration, he lives with his wife and their three sons in Salisbury, Connecticut.
