Keemuns are some China's most renowned black teas, the British acquired a love for Keemuns. The teas come from the rolling hills in southeastern Anhui Province in China. After the MaoFeng is finished around the beginning of May, the Hao Yas are made. Hao Ya's are separated: the best tips become Hao Ya A and the next best tips become Hao Ya 'B'.
Dry Leaves Small dark leaves.
Liquor Clear and dark copper liquor.
Aroma Light notes of cocoa and apricot.
Caffeine Level Caffeinated
Body This a medium to full-bodied tea.
Flavors The Keemun Hao Ya 'B' has dark cocoa flavors. It is less intense the Hao Ya 'A'.
Brewing Time 4 to 5 minutes
Brewing Temperature 212° F

Hao Ya 'B'

Hao Ya B is made in late spring and is a great value. It is less intense than Hao Ya A, but still stronger than English Breakfast. It has warm toasty notes with hints of chocolate.

Rich and smooth
Average Review:

I got a sample of this tea with my last order. The "A" looked a little pricey for me, so I tried this one. I was not disappointed! A lot of character and depth. A little milk balanced it out perfectly. I'll be getting a tin for my next order.

A very satisfying cup of tea
Average Review:

This brew has a very smokey aroma and a nice, dark color. The flavor is bold and earthy, only slightly bitter, with a crisp, dry finish. I can see this tea being an excellent substitute for black coffee. The flavor is strong enough to be enjoyed without cream or sugar, but they do add a new dimension to the flavor. This Keemun seems to me, at least, to have a rounder, more mouth-filling taste than English Breakfast while still having that dark, slightly smokey Keemun quality you don't find in an Assam, for example. In general I prefer Indian black teas, but I was pleasantly surprised at how much I like Hao Ya 'B'. It is a very satisfying cup of tea.

Great for Iced Tea
Average Review:

In Charleston we take our iced tea seriously. But in looking for more flavor, I was correctly advised that this is the stuff to get. It's my first tea to brew and pour over ice in the morning. And it's great with lemon.
