Our Review
Keemuns are some China's most renowned black teas, the British acquired a love for Keemuns. The teas come from the rolling hills in southeastern Anhui Province in China. After the MaoFeng is finished around the beginning of May, the Hao Yas are made. Hao Ya's are separated: the best tips become Hao Ya A and the next best tips become Hao Ya 'B'.

A very satisfying cup of tea
Average Review:

This brew has a very smokey aroma and a nice, dark color. The flavor is bold and earthy, only slightly bitter, with a crisp, dry finish. I can see this tea being an excellent substitute for black coffee. The flavor is strong enough to be enjoyed without cream or sugar, but they do add a new dimension to the flavor. This Keemun seems to me, at least, to have a rounder, more mouth-filling taste than English Breakfast while still having that dark, slightly smokey Keemun quality you don't find in an Assam, for example. In general I prefer Indian black teas, but I was pleasantly surprised at how much I like Hao Ya 'B'. It is a very satisfying cup of tea.

Great for Iced Tea
Average Review:

In Charleston we take our iced tea seriously. But in looking for more flavor, I was correctly advised that this is the stuff to get. It's my first tea to brew and pour over ice in the morning. And it's great with lemon.

Smoooooth
Average Review:

This tea is amazingly smooth and toasty. It also has hints of cocoa in the taste. This is my go-to tea when I want a very high quality and satisfying cup. It also has a descent amount of caffeine and always gives me that extra kick that I am sometimes looking for. Also, such a great value. Kudos to Harney and Sons for sourcing such a great Keemun!

Good with a few mixed feelings
Average Review:

2 4-ounce purchases which produced very different results. The first one, bought in 2010 was simply great. Intense, smoky, earthy and full of flavor. The second one, purchased in 2011 was less intense and there was some unexpected briskness that is unusual in keemuns. I will buy again definitely.
