Hong Tao

On Mike's first trip to China in 1996, he visited the charming village of Hong Tao (Red Peach) in the hills outside of Keemun in the Anhui Province of China. It was a great day, what a charming little village and they sure made lovely tea. Over the years, Mike forgot about this. So when this tea came to his attention again, he had to offer it.

Dry Leaves	Beautifully twisted black leaves (at least by our standards) of about 1/2 long
Liquor	Medium brown
Aroma	Hints of toasted cocoa

Body	Medium bodied tea that nicely coats the mouth.
Flavors	The slightly sweetened cocoa flavors are a delight
Brewing Time	4 to 5 minutes
Brewing Temperature	212º F

Our Review

Besides the sentimental value to Mike, this Keemun tea is a great value. You get much of what people love about Keemun Hao Ya A, but for much less money. Please keep this secret to yourself!

My Favorite Value Keemun

I love a good Keemun tea. I love it even more if it is well priced. This one has the characteristic notes of cocoa, slight smoke/earthiness, and an incredible body. I would say I would buy more, but I did!
