Our "take" on the traditional Arabian beverage. Gunpowder Green tea is blended with aromatic Peppermint leaves from Oregon to impart a unique brisk green tea experience.
We are always open to new tea recipes, and this summer we learned of a variation to our Moroccan Mint Tea Blend. This comes to us from a french student who was visiting us for the summer, and worked here at Harney & Sons learning all about the tea business. His recipes is as follows:
- Gunpowder
- Mint Leaves
- Peanuts
Heat Pot with boiling water until warm to touch. Discard that water and put in a teaspoon of gunpowder with five dry mint leaves. Pour less than boiling water into the pot and steep for 3 minutes. When serving tea, add a spoonful of peanuts into the tea. This is originally a Tunisian recipe.
