Sungma Autumnal

This was made at the end of the 2012 season by one of the best estates in Darjeeling. Although it is lighter, it does have nice muscatel (fruity) notes.

Our Review

After the summer monsoon is over in September, the quality tea season restarts for about a month. These teas are done in the darker style of second flush rather than the greener brisk First Flush style. They are not as full bodied as Second Flush Darjeelings. In fact many can be inspid. This is the best Autumnal we have seen in years.
