Thurbo 2nd Flush

This is a nice 2nd Flush Darjeeling. In 2012, it was hard to find such Darjeeling. This was made from "clonal" tea bushes. So it is lighter than other 2nd flush teas. About Thurbo 2nd Flush

Dry Leaves	Light brown tea leaves with a few tips. There are no green leaves, so that means the tea was only lightly withered, so it is more mellow.
Liquor	Light brown liquor
Aroma	Lovely haunting stone fruit aromas.
Caffeine Level	Caffeinated
Body	Since this is a clonal tea, it is lighter in body.
Flavors	It was the light stone fruit flavors that attracted us to this find. Please enjoy them.
Brewing Time	4 to 5 minutes
Brewing Temperature	212° F

Our Review

Thurbo is located in the stunning beauty of the Mirik Valley in the western section of Darjeeling. A new friend from Calcutta brought us many samples from the troubled 2012 season. This one stood out as the best. Our Indian friend agreed. Light yet satisfying and a good value.
