I wanted to like this tea because I have quite a sweet tooth and I thought this might solve the problem; it didn’t. Regardless, the smell of this tea is very strong. I had to put the tagalong I purchased in a plastic container so it wouldn't give me a burst of this smell every time I opened the cabinet. When I tried this blend, it is something that I will finish off what I have, but probably won't purchase again. I didn't really get the chocolate craving satisfaction from drinking this. The taste is ok, but the smell stays even after steeped, so I can’t really get over that to enjoy it a bit more.

This is one of my favorite teas- the chocolate taste is subtle but enough to give it a sweet edge. I'll be looking for this one in the stores again come February.

I first tried the Valentine's Tea at my church. I fell in love. I came home and ordered two tins that day. Both myself and my 13 yr. old son enjoy making a pot with the loose leaf. I have shared with friends,but I have found it to be an instant like or dislike among others. With me it was an instant LOVE. This time I will order the 1 lb loose tea bag and that should keep me supplied for a while. Makes a nice dessert tea, but I and my son enjoy it anytime. If you like chocolate and are up for something different I suggest giving this tea a try!!!!!

Chocolate bliss with a lovely rose finish. Better than flowers or choclate alone. : LOVE IT!

The Valentine's Blend is very light and chocolate-y tasting! Chocolate is definitely the dominant flavor. But there is a little hint of something else, that I assume is the rose flavor, that really makes this tea stand out. Add a tiny bit of sugar and viola...perfect treat. I just wish they had a 20 ct. sachet tin as I am not a big fan of loose tea in general.

I hosted a luncheon and put a tagalong of Valentine's Blend at each place setting. A big hit!!

I'll start out by saying I'm not a HUGE flavored tea fan. I enjoy only a few, mostly spiced things, apricot or currant, Paris and Earl Grey. I enjoy assams, ceylons, darjeelings, oolongs, a few whites, and only a very few greens. I'm mainly a black tea person. On a whim I ordered this. It's not terrible, but not spectacular. I could smell this tea when I opened the cardboard box it arrived in, that's how strong the chocolate scent is on the tea. It actually isn't overpowering taste-wise, which is good. The black tea itself doesn't taste like it has much going on - the normal tea flavor isn't very pronounced. Those of you who normally love all manner of artificially flavored black teas - you know who you are - I'm sure you'll love this. I must say this is the first Harney tea I'm unimpressed with, so I'll pass on the V-day blend from now on.

The Harney and sons. valentine tea is an acquired taste and i enjoy it very much!
