I've never been able to resist so-called "dessert teas", those flavored with nutty, caramel, or chocolate elements. Yet, such purchases in the past have inevitably quickly been relegated to the nether reaches of my tea cabinet, consistently disappointing and therefore soon forgotten altogether. Since a Tagalong size of the Choco Nut was available, and due to previous experience of several delectable Harney flavored blends, I gambled again. So It is with great delight that I share my discovery of a "dessert tea" that is truly satisfying. The balance of the black tea with a nutty chocolate aroma and yes, flavor too, is finely tuned and the disparate dimensions of the tea are remarkably well-integrated. The result is a mellow yet substantial embrace of the palate, a rich tea experience with enough depth of flavor and dimensionality to unquestionably distinguish itself as a consummate "dessert tea", even for those with my history of recurrent but deluded seduction within this genre of teas. Bravo, Harney!
I didn't expect that I would fall in love with this! I love the aroma and the taste. I don't usually like black tea because it was too strong for me, but this tea wasn't too strong and it was just right for my taste.
This tea is has so much wonderful depth and flavour! I actually prefer it as iced tea. It's a wonderful pick-me-up as I drive around town or after dinner, sitting relaxing with friends. Love the tea sachets! so elegant!
