Jin Jun Mei

4.9 star rating 35 Reviews

An important part of Mike's trip to China this summer was to visit Tongmu Village high above Wuyishan city in Fujian Province. Originally this area developed Lapsang Souchong (the smoky black tea). In recent years, the producers developed a very special tea from just the early Spring bud and lots of those buds. This year we chose to buy from of the best producers: Mr. Wang. So, yes, this tea is expensive. However, yes, this a very special tea - not found often out of China.  The golden buds are so pretty and filled with sweetness and body. Please note this tea is not smoked like Lapsang. Jin Jun Mei means Golden Beautiful Eyebrow.
