Second Flush Darjeelings are always welcome, especially if they are the elusive “muscatel.” We love fruity flavors that develop when tea plants are attacked by leafhoppers. Once attacked, the tea plant reacts by creating a special chemical defense which creates these flavors. This defense is reminiscent of muscatel grapes, thus the name. This tea is not quite as strong as other years, but still a joy to drink.
Ingredients: Black tea.
