Our Review
Golden tipped teas are special, so Mike thought to combine two of them. These two are the pride of their production areas: northern Fujian Province and northern Assam. For those that are tempted, a splash of milk will not hurt his tea.
Dry Leaves A new blend of Golden Monkey from Fujian Province and Assam FTGFOP that makes a great tea that is very solid. If one's bent was towards milk and sugar, that would not be a problem.
Liquor The liquor is medium brown with the large leaf brewing up dark but moderated by the profusion of tips..
Aroma The aromas of cocoa and honey waft up to you.
Caffeine Level Caffeinated
Body With big leaves and the loads of tips, the body is lighter than most of the other black tea blends.
Flavors The tea flavors are highlighted by notes of apricot, cocoa and honey.
Brewing Time 4 to 5 minutes
Brewing Temperature 212° F

great tea
Average Review:

If you really like the nutty, cocoa notes of Golden Monkey; but not so much the flowery notes of it; you will really enjoy Golden Blend! I would definitely buy this again.

Very Nice!
Average Review:

The Assam definitely asserts itself up front, with the honey/apricot subtly balancing it in the background. A good bodied tea without being overpowering. The briskness rating of 2 might be a bit low in my honest opinion, I might call it a 3...but don't let that stop you from trying this very fine tea! Great with a splash of milk for your morning wake up.

Earthy, in a bad way
Average Review:

Just not what I look for in a tea blend. Very earthy almost smoked flavor, too strong for me.
