This is a “ripe” or shu Puerh from Xishuangbanna in Yunnan. Shu refers to the process where the aging process is accelerated. The tea comes from Brown Mountain using ancient tea plants that make great bings or cakes. We break the large cakes into more manageable chunks. Since it is from 2007, it is quite mellow and enjoyable. Comes packed in a 2 oz. tin.
