On his first trip to Asia in 1996, Mike visited many tea estates. Chamraj was a very distinctive one, with a rhythmic rise and fall of the brilliant green tea fields , punctuated by lots of lovely flowers. He has kept his eyes open for teas from Chamraj ever since. This tea is good representative of teas from Nilgiri and is a sister estate to Korakundah.
I am pleased with my purchase of this tea. The dry leaf as well as wet leaf smell divine! I smell a hint of citrus in the leaf but I don't taste it, though I'm not a connoisseur, yet. I enjoyed this very much and plan to make it a regular in my rotation. Thank you, Harney & Sons! (Posted on 11/2/12)
