Unfortunately, Sally left us many years ago. She was our first worker, and thus commanded a position of authority. Our employees did this blend in honor of Sally and her pink undergarments. It has become a classic version of Earl Grey.
I don't always like Earl Grey, or rose, but I couldn't resist trying a sample of this based on the description. It's fantastic! Smooth, subtle bergamot and rose with a base of fine black tea, blended to perfection. This is a very grand tribute indeed. (Posted on 3/31/13)
I just made a cup of Sally's secret, it warms my whole body. Also finished baking cookies made with Sally's Secret, they are a winner. Will take them to our Museum ladies luncheon for dessert. Dianne (Posted on 9/13/12)
This blend is an extremely satisfying variation on the traditional variety of Earl Grey. The rose flavor is an elegant complement to bergamot and is suited for both iced and hot tea. The soothing rose scent is a very welcome sensory experience for stressful mornings (or afternoons), and I find this tea great 'medicine' when I need to relax. (Posted on 9/13/12)
Several years ago I visited a Russian cultural center in Washington D.C. where I enjoyed the most elegant, savory, rose-favored tea with the most wonderful aroma. After asking if it was possible for them to get us some from the Motherland, they smiled at us and told us they purchased it here in the U.S. Of course, being Russian, they didn’t say where. I have been searching for it ever since. I believe I have found it! It is wonderful by itself or with a very small amount of honey or sugar. I love this tea! It has become my weekend favorite. This Earl Grey is sublime. The rose petals and an additional layer to the flavor of the tea without taking away from the unique qualities of Earl Grey. It is one of my favorite teas. (Posted on 12/28/09)
