Our Review
Takashimaya was the best tea shop in New York for many years. They did a great job with teas from Japan and around the world (which we supplied.) One of Brigitte Harney's favorite drinks was Soba, so when we found a good source, we bought it.

Soba Tea, Roasted Buckwheat

Soba is roasted buckwheat and is caffeine free. Its toasty flavor is a traditional delight in Japan.

It's Okay Review by Snowdrift
Average Review:
When I first got a 4 oz tin of this I opened it and was hit with a smell I wasn't very fond of. I put it away for awhile and finally decided to brew it. It's pretty good, sweeter than I thought it would be, along with bold nutty notes. Not for me, but if you like nutty tea, try it out. (Posted on 6/3/15)

so glad I tried it Review by Heather
Average Review:
this "tea" is wonderful. It is nutty with a somewhat substantial mouth-feel and it is the perfect thing for the evening. I am so, so glad that I tried this tisane, now my most favorite non-caffinated thing to drink. (Posted on 1/3/15)

Amazing flavor Review by Barbara

This tea was first served to me at a 3 star Michelin restaurant. It is my biggest surprise in my history of tea-drinking. So nutty, warming, flavorful. it has become my every day addiction. (Posted on 2/27/14)

This tea has a lovely body with a nice nutty flavor. It smells absolutely divine and I would recommend this tea any time but especially on cold rainy days. (Posted on 10/16/13)

Great tea Review by EC
Average Review:
I love this tea primarily for mixing with other more bland teas. Mixed with greens it gives a flavor that to me is reminiscent of Genmaicha but better, toastier. A delightful tea any time, alone or mixed. (Posted on 3/4/13)

Wonderful! Review by kate

This tea is a pleasure to drink. It's wonderful as an after dinner drink or in lieu of a night cap. It's light and clean but surprisingly robust, with a unique nutty flavor. (Posted on 12/22/12)
