Our Review
If Keemuns are the aristocrats of Chinese black teas, Yunnan black teas are the frugal yet happy cousins. Earthy to the point of being almost vigorously assertive, Yunnan teas have a maple sweetness that wins you over with their charm. Yunnan black teas come from the remote region of China down near the borders with Laos and Burma. This is where teas are thought to have originated. Much of the tea in this region is aged to make puerhs. This is also called Dianhong.

Yunnan Golden Tips

If Keemuns are the aristocrats of Chinese black teas, Yunnan black teas could be considered the frugal yet happy cousins from another region. Earthy to the point of being almost vigorously assertive, Yunnan teas have a maple sweetness that wins you over with charm. Typical of many Yunnan teas, Yunnan Golden Tips features a mixture of dull gold buds and black leaves. (Also known as Dianhong).

Wonderful light, flavorful tea! Review by Deborah
Average Review:
Yummy! Light on first brew, with sweet taste and slightly nutty aroma/flavor. Girlfriend suggested and I'm in. Drink it hot, cold, she likes milk and sugar but I'm a purist. Carry the samples when I travel! (Posted on 1/12/14)

Subtle & Sweet Review by Ryan
Average Review:
This tea has a nice, soft and sweet aroma. The taste is a little toasty with a sweet finish and brisk aftertaste. I doubt you would need any milk or sugar to appreciate this tea. It is not as bold in body as I usually like but it does have a complex enough character to occupy your taste buds for awhile with each sip. (Posted on 9/21/11)
