This wonderful tea was concocted by Emeric Harney, our third generation tea blender. He also is the host of our shop in SoHo. It appears that he has good memories of the Holidays in snowy Connecticut. And we are all beneficiaries of those memories. Many people enjoy this tea, someone said the blend was pure genius. One friend suggested to drink it with Ameretto.
I almost didn't pick up this tea (at Barnes & Noble) because it had almonds in it and that didn't appeal to me. I'm delighted that I tried it, as it is one of the most appealing teas I've tried in years. Every afternoon I must have a cup, or two. I went back and bought every canister left. Too bad it is out of stock now that the holidays are over. Discovering Harney & Sons Tea company was a wonderful holiday surprise and I look forward to ordering more teas in the future. I found this tea very pleasant, though getting the water temperature and brewing times is essential if the taste is to even approach being as good as the aroma. I also found it went wonderfully with a small amount - perhaps half a teaspoon - of wildflower honey. (Posted on 2/2/13)
