Our Review
This tea comes from the far northern mountains of Vietnam. This is the ancestral home to tea. An area that encompasses Yunnan, Laos, Assam, and Vietnam. This tea comes from ancient trees and is done in the traditional ‘orthodox’ method. So the leaves are big, sweet and mellow. Please enjoy this traditional tea.

A Lovely Tea Review by JoAnne
Average Review:
I am an avid Assam tea drinker, and what I like about this tea is that is is very reminiscent of an Assam, perhaps blended with Darjeeling. for those of you who are curious about a full-bodied tea, but haven't yet tried one, start here. (Posted on 2/11/15)

Mmmmm. . .Good! Review by Jo Anne

This tea is, simply, delicious. It reminds me of a light version of Assam. I highly recommend it. (Posted on 1/22/15)

I really like this tea! Review by JJ
Average Review:
This is a really mellow black tea with just enough punch of flavor and without a hint of bitterness. I like really strong black teas but this one is delightful. (Posted on 4/24/14)

Surprisingly pleasing Review by Maggie
Average Review:
I agree with Review written by Daniel. I struggle with Darjeeling because it is too dry and winey (?) on my palette. I tend to be a big fan of the China black teas, particularly keemun. But this tea, which I tried on a whim, has expanded my repertoire. It doesn't have the complexity of, say, Keemun Mao Feng (a favorite) but is smooth, lightly rich, and delicious. Becoming an every day tea for me (a tough jump). (Posted on 4/10/14)

a quiet tea Review by elia
Average Review:
This is a tea that is solidly appreciative of peace and normalcy. I like it blended with Tippy Yunnan; it refines the coarseness of that tea and I think they complement each other well. (Posted on 12/28/13)

This has turned into one of my favorite teas. Review by Daniel
Average Review:
At least to my palate, VB OP has a rich orange pekoe quality which, unusually, is mixed with a fruity, flowery quality like Darjeeling but without the latter's dryness and/or wine overtones. It's unique, and I love it. (Posted on 12/17/13)

Not terrible... Review by lover of black tea
Average Review:
but I definitely won't by it again. I noticed this tea didn't have any reviews so I got a sample of it and prepared it a few different ways to best review it. First, in a pot for 2 minutes. It smelled pretty similar to English Breakfast, which I'm not a huge fan of, anyway. It didn't taste bad, but wasn't very strong, and there was nothing fantastic or unusual about it. Not sweet, not earthy, not smokey, granted, not bitter, but essentially an unremarkable tea. Then I tried it again with a single cup infuser for three minutes, and it was every bit as bitter as any low quality black tea. If you feel the desire to try it, do not steep past 2 minutes! I was really hoping for something lovely and exotic, I sincerely wish I could have given it a nicer review. (Posted on 11/16/13)
