Our Review
This is an old time tea blend. All of the teas were available 100 years ago. They were drunk by people in that period of history, and though we do not know that this blend was on the tragic voyage, it could have been. Since introducing it in the spring of 2012, we have found that many people love this blend. Helping the good cause of ocean preservation, by assisting the Ocean Conservancy, increases the enjoyment.
Dry Leaves This traditional blend has mostly black and dark brown leaves with a few lighter leaves.
Liquor A medium-brown with a slight reddish hue.
Aroma The toasty peach notes waft over the muted malt and citrus aromas.
Caffeine Level Caffeinated
Body This is a medium bodied tea. The full bodied teas of Keemun, Assam, and Ceylon are lightened by the Formosa Oolong.
Flavors This tea has delivered lovely clear flavors over many decades. The lightly toasted peach flavors in combination are what make this tea special. A flavor that was savored even 100 years ago.
Brewing Time 4 to 5 minutes
Brewing Temperature 212° F

RMS Titanic - 20 sachet tin

SKU# 88957

Titanic Tea is our latest endeavor, created as a tribute to the tragedy and heroism of “A Night to Remember”. PH Nargeolet, one of the divers with the French exploratory group at Woods Hole in Massachusetts when the Titanic was found, encouraged John Harney to create a commemorative tea to honor the 100th Anniversary of those who perished when the Titanic sank. John has created a tea blend which reflects the quality of tea that was served on the Titanic. There is Chinese Keemun, one of the last teas British still consumed in 1912. The British had mostly switched to black teas from Assam, India and Ceylon. Also there is Formosa Oolong, which was popularized in both the UK and the US by an enterprising Brit. So this blend would have been recognizable to tea lovers a hundred years ago. A portion of the sales of our RMS Titanic Tea will go to The Ocean Conservancy, the dedicated organization committed to preserving one of the Earth's most valuable resources, our Oceans. We hope you will enjoy this tea, and “Remember".

This has become my favorite tea!!!!
Average Review:

My mother bought this for me as part of a gift and it has very quickly become my new favorite tea. It is so comforting and delicious! The flavors are amazing. I would love to see this in loose tea. Easier to share that way. I hope this is a tea that Harney & Sons will continue to carry.

Oh, my, tea lovers! We have a winner!
Average Review:

I bought this tea around Christmas and gave a tin to a granddaughter-in-law who is also a Titanic fan and kept one. She tried hers weeks ago and said it was delicious. I tried mine today and she's right--it IS delicious! It's a wonderful tea blend. And like the other reviewers, I'd really like to have a bag of Titanic loose tea. Thanks for caring enough to create this tea.
