Our Review
The Harneys, being of Irish blood, did not offer a Scottish tea until now. Our friends at the American Scottish Foundation asked us to do two teas. Our first attempt was a strong tea. They said it was nice, but please make it a wee bit stronger.
Dry Leaves A mixture of dark brown leaves, the smaller pieces of Assam and Ceylon and Assam CTC (cut, tear, curl) method make for a stronger tea.
Liquor This is one of our darkest teas, brewing a very dark brown color. Many Scots would lighten it with milk.
Aroma Aroma is not the point of this tea, so there are only hints of suggestions of malt.
Caffeine Level Caffeinated
Body This is the purpose of this tea, and it delivers a very full bodied tea. It is perhaps the strongest tea we offer.
Flavors Strong and simple, this tea is meant to be drunk with milk.

Brewing Temperature 212° F

Scottish Morn - loose 4 oz tin

SKU# 44571

This is a strong tea, perhaps our strongest tea. When you stand up your spoon in this tea, it might just stand straight. A portion of the sales goes to support the charitable endeavors of the ASF.

Excellent full bodied tea.
Average Review:

This is an excellent substitute for coffee. Full bodied, strong but not over powering.

Be prepared for brisk!

I like full-bodied tea that can hold it's own to milk and sugar--which this tea certainly does. But it's a bit too acidic and brisk for me, in fact, probably the briskest tea I've ever tried (don't say you weren't warned!) I much prefer Harney's Irish Breakfast.
