Michael Harney has been the master tea buyer and blender of Harney & Sons for more than 25 years. He, too, is a published author and educator who loves to scour the globe to meet with tea producers from all the major tea countries, looking for the best teas to deliver to his customers.
Paul Harney is the mastermind behind our signature sachet teas and our line of Organic ready to drink teas and juices. You can be certain of his ongoing efforts to develop new ideas and blends for the good of the customer and the timelessly classic Harney & Sons reputation.
Brigitte was born and raised in France, and joined Harney & Sons 23 years ago. A retail veteran, her style and expertise is recognizable in the careful selection of the tea accessories we offer, including gifts and other elegant home goods. Brigitte also enjoys traveling to international tea territories with her husband.
Emeric is general manager of Harney & Sons SoHo, where he continues the family tradition of making great tea an everyday luxury for New Yorkers and tourists alike. Emeric has a superior knowledge of the intricacies and characteristics of many varieties grown the world over. Emeric is also becoming increasingly involved in blending, and has already created a number of well-received teas.
Alex is the founder, executive chef/manager of the Harney & Sons Café in Millerton, New York. He enjoys cooking great food, and sharing his passion and knowledge of tea with others. Alex has traveled all over the world including China, Taiwan, Japan, and, most recently, India, searching for the finest teas. As director of film and photography for the company’s image and style, he can always be seen traveling camera-in-hand.
