Our Review
If Keemuns are the aristocrats of Chinese black teas, Yunnan black teas are the poor but happy cousins. Earthy, almost gutty and assertive, the teas have a maple sweetness that gives them charm. Yunnan black teas come from the remote region of China down near the borders with Laos and Burma. This is where teas are thought to have originated. Much of the tea in this region is aged to make puerhs. This is also called Dianhong.
Dry Leaves Long twisted leaves that are a faded gold with bits of black.
Liquor Light brown.
Aroma An earthiness characteristic of most Yunnan teas, with sweetness of maple syrup. There are hints of spice.
Caffeine Level Caffeinated
Body This is a light bodied black tea.
Flavors Mild sweetness with maple notes and spice.
Brewing Time 4 to 5 minutes
Brewing Temperature 212° F

Wonderful light, flavorful tea!
Average Review:

Yummy! Light on first brew, with sweet taste and slightly nutty aroma/flavor. Girlfriend suggested and I'm in. Drink it hot, cold, she likes milk and sugar but I'm a purist. Carry the samples when I travel!

Subtle & Sweet
Average Review:

This tea has a nice, soft and sweet aroma. The taste is a little toasty with a sweet finish and brisk aftertaste. I doubt you would need any milk or sugar to appreciate this tea. It is not as bold in body as I usually like but it does have a complex enough character to occupy your taste buds for awhile with each sip.
