About Formosa Oolong

Dry Leaves	This tea is made up of dark brown leaves and stems.

Aroma	The aroma has nutty and toasty notes with subdued peach flavors underneath.

Our Review

This tea was quite popular in the US for several decades. A British entrepreneur named John Dodd developed it in the middle of the nineteenth century. It is oxidized to about 75%, so it is darker than most other oolongs.

Peachy and soft, everyone I know loves this tea, the general consensus is that sugar is all it needs to be perfect at any time. I usually drink this at work. This is a great low cost oolong, I prefer it to many other oolongs I have tried.

My favorite Oolong

They describe it as toasty, and that is just perfect. I drink the HN regular (not royal!) English Breakfast all morning and Formosa Oolong all afternoon. And sometimes one of the Darjeelings to change things up, but this is one of my go-to teas. Fabulous!

A Delicious, Inexpensive Oolong

I was surprised at how tasty this tea was because it was relatively inexpensive. Formosa Oolong brews a satisfying, smooth, flavorful tea. It had a very rich, full mouthfeel and the tiniest bit of a nutty undertone. It is superior to the oolongs I've had in nice Asian restaurants.
