Our Review
Mike visited this lovely estate that is located high above the small town of Nuwara Eliya. This area is amongst the highest areas to grow teas, and the weather is constantly changing. Sometimes sunny, but often cloudy or rainy. This makes for the beautiful and lush tea plants. Also it does not have as distinct a growing season as the areas to the west (Dimbula) or the east (Uva.) So the teas from this area have a flavor of their own: light citrus notes.

confusing

Is this a blend? People seem to think it is a Darjeeling when it is in the Ceylon section. It easily overbrewed even at 3min. so I'm assuming it is Darjeeling or blended. If so it quite an average one. Probably worth the cost though.

This is a good tea A bit light, but good non the less. I find that the citrus flavors are a bit hard to find. given the choice I usually go for a cup of Darjeeling.

Breakfast tea for Darjeeling lovers
Average Review:

I have been drinking Nuwara Elia tea for 30 years since I visited this lovely town up on the hill. It is slightly darker and stronger than first flush Darjeeling, but it has the same briskness and nose. I hope Harney will get first flush Nuwara Elia tea like Kenmare. Does Lover's Leap offer first flush? This Lover's Leap is a bargain for those who like first flush Darjeeling characteristics, perhaps a bit stronger version of it (yet do not like to drink second flush Darjeeling as morning tea, which has a different nose). Good first flush Darjeeling for me is my afternoon tea.

Balanced and interesting
Average Review:

This tea was a good surprise. It is on the light side, looks golden in the cup. It tastes interesting - balanced yet complex. A very nice tea to sip in the afternoon. Great to replace my regular Afternoon Darjeeling with.

I didn't like this one at first, but maybe I was brewing it for too long. I used to brew if for 5 mins. but it was too bitter from the tannins. Now after brewing it for 4 mins. it is just perfect and I find myself coming back to this time and time again. It is light and smooth and has a wonderful nose. It's also a good pick me up. I just made a small pot of this and I'm already feeling much better.
