Viennese Earl Grey

This blend is perhaps the most famous tea in the world, it was inspired by the British Prime Minister, Earl Grey. There are as many different versions of this as there are tea companies. Viennese Earl Grey inspired by our friend's tea shop in Vienna. It has a Darjeeling tea base, so it is lighter than others.

Our Review
Would the world still turn without Earl Grey Tea? Many would doubt it. Originally just for the former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom: Charles Grey. Later it was spread throughout the kingdom, and then around the world. It is so popular that we offer eight versions of it. This is our lightest version of Earl Grey. Andrew Demmer inspired us to create this blend after we visited his shops in the lovely city of Vienna.

Worth having

I bought a sample of this and then invested in the regular tin. It's lovely. Very soft, and more lemony than strictly bergamot. A tea-expert friend and I decided that it wouldn't win an Earl Grey contest, but it's a delightful tea to have around. If you're dying for EG, go for the Supreme, but this Viennese has a niche in a larger collection.

Best of the Best!!!

I thought Harney and Sons Earl Grey Supreme was on point, but this stuff rocked my world!! I received a shipment from H&S this week and this tea was included as part of my shipment. After being such a fan of the Earl Grey Supreme, I didn’t think it could get much better…boy was I wrong…the Viennese Earl Grey is simply FANTASTIC! This tea is smooth, smooth, smooth! I must give credit where credit is due and the Darjeeling is definitely a major factor here, smoothing this tea out nicely. The bergmont is just right…pretty powerful when smelling it out of the tin, but just righ n the tea. In my opinion the bergmont in a good Earl Grey should just be enough to wake the senses up a bit allowing you to enjoy the base and this tea hits the mark in that regard Overall, a nice smooth Earl Grey with a rich flavorful base, finished with th perfect touch of bergmont

Wonderful

After trying the Earl Grey Supreme and not being really satisfied, I thought I'll give this one a try. It is, in my humble opinion, superior to the supreme... The bergamot is more pronounced, the tea is more subtle and can be brewed for a little longer without turning bitter or sour. I love the delicate darjeeling. This is my new morning tea. Brewing w/ boiling water for 3:45.

Exquisite

The light Darjeeling and the subtle Bergamot make this a nice afternoon tea to be drunk without milk & sugar. Lighter and more refined than the other India tea-based Earl Greys.
