About Winter White Earl Grey

Dry Leaves This tea is based upon Mutan White, so there are silvery green tips and forest green leaves. Sometimes the leaves are cut in order to be used in sachets.
Liquor The liquor is a darkish yellow-green, especially when the leaf size has been reduced.
Aroma Like all of our Earl Greys, the citrus flavors of the Oil of Bergamot predominate. There are hints of the vegetal aromas of the white tea.
Caffeine Level Caffeinated
Body Winter White Earl Grey has good body for a white tea and is very fulfilling.
Flavors What makes this tea's flavors so good are the raw materials. Great white tea gives a nice foundation, and then the our Oil of Bergamot soars with wonderful citrus flavors.

Our Review
Earl Grey is a very popular tea here at Harney & Sons, so we offer many variations. They all have one thing in common, the wonderful lemony aromas and flavors that come from our Oil of Bergamot. It the base that makes them different. Winter White uses Mutan White, making it is lighter than traditional black teas. It has as its base the vegetal, and oh so lightly fruit flavors of Mutan White tea. If you want something lighter than traditional Earl Grey, this is a great choice.

Not to tasty and way to mild
Average Review:

This tea is not a good tasting tea. Glad I order just the small sample 5 pack. The black earl grey tea is by far better than the winter white. Which has very little flavor.

Just wonderful
Average Review:

Tried this and shared with my son, who also loves tea. We both agree - this is a wonderful cup....especially if it is lightly flurrying.

Not as strong as other earl grey teas.
Average Review:

I guess I should have figured that this being a white tea, the flavor probably wouldn't be as strong as I'm used too in an earl grey. And it isn't... The bergamot comes through much more strongly than The tea itself. This being said, the flavor is still enjoyable and very good. Worth a try if looking for something different.

very disappointed
Average Review:

The first time I ordered this tea it was wonderful - delicate and large white tea leaves with wonderful scent and flavor of bergamet. However, this recent batch I received was terrible - so dusty that my cup had a layer of sludge at the bottom. The large lovely leaves of the first batch have been replaced with either very old,or very inferior leaves. I've put the entire batch in a fine strainer to get out most of the dust, but it shouldn't have been there in the first place.

I tried the sample size not being sure if I would like and I loved it. I like trying greena nd white teas and found this light and refreshing!

Perfection in a cup!
Average Review:

I don't much like black tea, but I'm a huge fan of bergamot, so finding the traditional Earl Grey flavor with a white tea base was a godsend. This tea smells amazing and has a very distinct flavor. It takes everything I like about Earl Grey while getting rid of the parts I don't like. I'll be getting more of this tea as soon as I run out--I don't think I ever want to be without it!

Lovely tea
Average Review:

I love this tea! It's a nice light Earl Grey. I've had many friends try a cup, and the word always used to describe it is 'lovely'.

Disappointed with tea filler added to Earl Grey Winter White
Average Review:

This tea looks like it was swept up off the forest floor. It has as much green leaf filler as actual black tea and white tea is very sparse. Flavor is mudddy and is not the the clean Earl Grey with white tea I anticipated. Do not buy this tea or you too will be disappointed!
