This has to be my absolute favorite green tea. I first experienced it at Zinc (a restaurant in New Haven, CT). I have been hooked ever since. It tastes much better if you do not boil your water (I was an inexperienced tea drinker then); heating the water to 165F and steeping for 1-2 minutes as instructed will give it a much better flavor.

This tea is simply magical. It tastes like a warm cup of summer sunshine to me. The green tea is clean, but not bitter. The vanilla and coconut are sweet, but not cloying. The sour lemongrass sets off the sweetness just enough. I barely notice the ginger, but I can feel it soothing my stomach. It's light, but it's memorable. I drink it plain - no milk, no sugar - and I often drink several cups a day. My husband does not care for it, but then, he tends to like bolder flavors than I do. I usually love light florals and clean citrus, but for some reason this tea feels like it was blended just for me.

Light, fragrant smooth taste. Close your eyes and enjoy the mild scent of coconut. This has a calming effect when you are stressed. Does not need any milk or sweetner. Steep about 5-6 minutes. Love it!

LOVE this tea! This is one of my absolute favorites! The green tea is very mild and not bitter. I can mostly taste the coconut and just a hint of lemongrass but not in an overpowering way. Its very hard to describe and its one of those teas you just have to try for yourself!

I got new tea brewer and have tried a lot of loose teas in it, and this is my very favorite. It smells and tastes wonderful, the coconut really makes it special , it has all the benefits of green tea, and it is fast to brew. I like it with dinner, as an afternoon drink, and often after dinner to take the place of a fattening snack. Give it a try if you are on the fence!

Years ago, I bought a tin of this at B&N's and it was my first introduction to Harney & Sons. I love Thai food and especially Thai (spiced) iced tea, but I was initially surprised to find that Bangkok was nothing like the salmon colored beverage that I was expecting. And, though I typically favor black teas over greens this one has become my favorite exception. As others have indicated, you will probably love this tea if you love Thai food; it definitely is a similar experience. I've tried a lot of different green teas from many different brands. Some are artificial tasting, too weak, or completely lack any flavor at all. This tea is perfect! It completely achieves that balance of zen-like flavor that is totally authentic. i can't find a green tea anywhere that is better! Great choice!

One of my new favorites. I ordered a little sample packet and loved it so much I will be ordering a larger tin. The vanilla and coconut are intoxicating in aroma and taste. A superior blend, my highest recommendation if you love the flavors of Thai cuisine. Enjoy!

I enjoy this tea as an au lait - half water, half milk. The milk brings out the thai twist. Very tasty.

I've tried quite a number of Harney's teas and a number of green teas from other distributors; there really is nothing like Bankok and it remains one of my all-time favorite Harney teas. The blend of flavors is inspired and delightful, in a way that makes you wonder Why didn't anyone come up with this before? It is light and bright in both color and flavor, not over grassy, with wonderful mellow overtones of lemongrass and coconut.

This tea is for someone who has tried the common green tea and is looking for something outside the box. The subtle flavors of coconut with lemongrass is absolutely genius.

My husband and I sincerely wanted to like this tea based on the reviews we read. However, we were very disappointed when we tried it. The smell and taste reminded us of Playdoh, soap, and wax candles.

The lemongrass and coconut are the outstanding flavors in this tea. Even when the tea is over steeped, it is still quite smooth with no bitterness. I highly recommend this tea.

Hate to start off negative, but I must say that I don't like the way the customer reviews are set up on this site. I had to go to each size selection of the tea to read all the reviews. Aren't we reviewing the tea, not the amount we bought? About this tea: It's green tea, lemongrass, vanilla, coconut, and ginger. And while I do like that you taste the tea above all else and nothing is overpowering,unlike Teavana, who sometimes gets so hopped up on all the extra ingredients, they sometimes forget it's suppose to be tea .But I actually would have liked it if they had made one of the non tea ingredients a little stronger and let the components stand as background. I got the sample, and will be buying this in the four ounce tin, but I think I'll try adding a little extra lemongrass or vanilla to it.

I normally do not enjoy green tea but found this one delightfully refreshing! I just might have to think my green tea aversion:

This tea has so many distinct flavors that all compliment each other. It is like a trip to Thailand in a cup. I was going to a local restaurant and taking out a single tea bag because I couldn't get enough! I got tired of sitting at the bar between beers and martinis with my tiny pot of Bangkok. I finally wised up and ordered it. If you haven't tried this tea just order it. You have no idea what you are about to experience!

This is the first review I've ever submitted---to let you know how inspired I am by this tea! It is WONDERFUL to smell--the hint of coconut is amazing! Surprising mild however. I can drink it day after day and never tire. I'm going to try all the other HT blends now, b/c I'm convinced they are masters!

I tried this tea last week and was my welcoming to Harney and Sons teas. It is smooth, and a velvet aftertaste that just delight my heart!

I love this simply easy blend of tea. It has an amazing flavor, smooth and yet vibrant. I love the hint of coconut.

Not a bad green tea but I do not find it being one of my top favorites. It is not bad though. The only thing I would like to change about this tea is I would like it to have a stronger coconut flavor.

I tried this tea at a restaurant one afternoon. It has a beautiful bouquet, very aromatic. Interestingly the taste is very similar to the aroma. Delightfully wonderful.

It has a wonderful aroma and nice coconut aftertaste. The only reason I didn't give it 4 stars is that it's a bit weak. It's almost exactly the same as the Royal Palaces Green Tea w/ coconut and ginger.

Bangkok has a wonderful complex flavor. You can taste the sweet coconut and vanilla the refeshing lemongrass and ginger. It's my favorite tea, I buy it agian and agian. If you like thia food and tea you would like this one

I love Thai food. I eat it several times a week. I love green tea. I bought this on a whim. It was a gross combo. Maybe it was the coconut that ruined it for me. The flavors just didnt match well with tea. I ended up dumping it. It made me always order a sample first from Harney when trying a new tea.

Harney and Sons teas are unmatched as far as I am concerned. This blend is exquisite. I cant find anything that comes close to the exceptional blending of the ingredients found in this tea. Lord help me if they ever drop this blend like Teavana does all the time. That is why I have dropped Teavana as a personal distributor.

Bangkok tea is great hot or iced. It has a coconut aroma that is so unexpected. You just have to try it!
