Estate visiting in Assam

After a brief visit to Kolkata (a city where large tea auctions take place), Robert & I flew into Guhawati, the largest city in the Assam region.  From there, we drove 5 hours to our first estate.  It's an interesting thing driving in India. You have auto rickshaws, busses, goats, dogs, people and even large buses - the only thing seeming to be missing is a road! We were able to see plucking and a very impressive factory. Our hosts took us to a Bihu festival, which celebrates the new year and spring. Tomorrow we will see another garden, about 40 km away.
