Norupi School in Mozambique"During our recent trip to the tea country in remote Mozambique, Elvira and I had the opportunity to visit a school that serves the children of tea pluckers. We were pleased to see that one of the schools had been renovated and was in good condition. However, we also visited another school located on a tea estate that was quite basic, constructed simply of rough bricks. Despite the stark conditions, the children there were full of laughter and joy, and it was clear that their parents are deeply committed to their education and want them to have a good start. This experience moved Elvira and me, and we discussed how we might be able to help. We have already raised over $40,000 towards improving this school, and we are now reaching out to see if you would be willing to assist us in raising the remaining funds needed to complete the project promptly. The estate owners face significant challenges in renovating a neglected property while also ensuring continued employment for the community. While we recognize the many needs that exist both in Africa and here in the United States, we believe that this is a tangible step we can take to make a difference in these children's lives. We would be incredibly grateful for your support in helping us bring this project to fruition.” —Mike Starting June 12th, 20% of sales from Hot Cinnamon Spice will will be allocated for this project.
