China 2018. Hunan

Most Springs we like to check in with our friend: Steve He in Changsha. He makes the black tea that we use in most black tea blends. So one of our most important suppliers. Also he always has some interesting speciality teas. This year we did buy our most expensive tea. It is a classic tea that is great demand by Chinese connoisseurs: Junshan Yellow tea. This is a rare opportunity for a Americans to savor this tea.

Also we went to a new garden and bought a green and black tea. We will have to come up with names for these teas from Wu Shan  Please note all the yellow blocks, those are there to catch pests. This is a garden that is transitioning to Certified Organic. So although we can not sell it as Organic, there are no artificial fertilizations or pesticides used on this garden.
