A few websites are copying the Harney & Sons Fine Teas name, logo, and tea descriptions to take card payments. They are not connected to us. Orders placed on them never reach our blending house in Millerton, New York, so we cannot see, ship, or refund them.

How to tell you're on the real Harney & Sons

  • The address bar says harney.com. Our online shop is www.harney.com. Copies add or swap letters (harneyus, harneytea) or use endings like .net or .shop.
  • Checkout stays on harney.com. When you pay, the address still reads harney.com. If you choose Shop Pay, you may see shop.app, which is Shopify's own checkout.
  • Prices look like ours. We hold sales from time to time, but we never take 65 to 70% off the whole shop. A tin of Hot Cinnamon Spice for a few dollars is a warning sign.

Known fake websites

Please do not order from these sites:

  • harneytea.net
  • harneyus.com
  • harneyandsonslife.shop
  • harneays.com (now offline)
  • harneyl.shop (now offline)

We are working to have them taken down. New copies can appear under other names, so the checks above are worth a moment on any site you don't recognize.

If you ordered from one of these sites

  1. Contact your card issuer or bank. Tell them the charge came from a fraudulent website and ask them to dispute it. Ask for a new card too, since the site has your card number. If you paid with PayPal, open a dispute in PayPal's Resolution Center.
  2. Let our customer service team know. Email [email protected] with the website address, your order number, the date, the amount charged, and any confirmation email or screenshot. It helps us have the site removed.

Found a site we haven't listed?

Email [email protected] with the website address and a screenshot if you have one. Please don't enter any payment details to test it.
