Description

Panyang, a town in northern Fujian Province, has been producing fine, beautifully complex black teas for centuries, and this Congou we source carries that long tradition forward. The long, twisted leaves with scattered golden tips brew into a dark amber cup that's mellow and unhurried rather than bold and brisk. Where Golden Monkey, its Fujian neighbor, leans sweeter and lighter, Panyang Congou settles into something quieter and more grounded. It's an ideal afternoon cup for days when you want depth without intensity.
