Thiele Gold

This blend comes to us through our German tea connection, close family friend Marcus Wulf, who knows a thing or two about how the East Friesians drink their tea. In that corner of Germany, where per-capita tea consumption outpaces the rest of the country, the tradition calls for a strong, bracing cup. Thiele Gold offers a more mellow take on that heritage, built from three of India's classic regions. The bold Assam and Ceylon supply the backbone, while Darjeeling rounds off the sharper edges for a fuller, softer character. Marcus has also made available the traditional German rock sugar that graces so many East Friesian cups. Add a spoonful along with a bit of fresh cream, and you'll have a proper Bremen-style brew.
