Description

Named for a civilization that mastered time itself, Gallifreyan Breakfast is our playful tribute to the world of Doctor Who, and a proper way to start any morning, wherever (or whenever) you happen to be. We built it as a black tea blend with an unexpected turn, layered with golden honey and ripe banana. The dry leaves smell like warm banana bread, and the cup finishes soft and rounded, with vanilla carrying through. It is a cup that leans sweet rather than brisk. For those who like a fruit-forward breakfast tea over a bracing one, this is the tea to reach for before saving a galaxy or two.

It is one of two teas we made for Doctor Who, licensed by BBC Studios, and it comes in a deep red and gold tin marked with Gallifreyan symbols.

Four Decades of Tradition

In 1983, John Harney set out to make tea an everyday luxury, hand-blending his first teas in the basement of his country inn in Salisbury, Connecticut.
Three generations later, we still follow his one rule: only buy and blend teas that make us smile. Today we blend more than 300 of them from a home base in Millerton, New York, where the third generation is adding blends of its own.

Gallifrey sits beneath twin suns, its sky burned orange and its fields of red grass stretching to the mountains of Solace and Solitude. Mornings there must have been extraordinary.

How to Enjoy It

Gallifreyan Breakfast leans sweet, so taste it before you reach for anything else. Here is how we make it.

Water

Tea is only as good as the water it is brewed in. Use filtered water as needed.

Hot

Use one sachet for each cup of tea desired. Pour 212°F water over the tea and steep for 5 minutes. Remove the sachet. Relax and enjoy.
