Movie go-ers and bookworms, rejoice! The end of 2019 calls for a great celebration along with the holiday festivities. Little Women, Louisa May Alcott’s beloved novel from 1868, is being illustrated for the big screen. Kenneth Turan of the Los Angeles Times proclaims that the leading ladies are “...practically bursting with the innocent, it’s-happening-right-now joy of being young and alive”. Coming to theaters on December 25th, the story is centered around four sisters and their mother, as they highlight the transcendence from childhood to young womanhood. Allow a cuppa Harney Tea to be in attendance at the viewing party!

In partnership with Orchard House, which honors the Alcotts settlement and treasured home, we’ve created a decorative tea blend to compliment the cinematic arrival: “Little Women Orchard House Blend”. In Concord, MA, the Alcotts resided at the House in the late 1800s, after moving nearly two dozen times over the course of three decades. Stationed at a “shelf desk” assembled by her father, Lousia May began to create the classic, charming novel.

Today, the Orchard House is available year-round for tours and special events. The house displays authentic features and details, the majority of which were owned by the Alcotts. We’re so thrilled to partner with them and reveal this blend! The tin is graced with a sketch of the Orchard House by Abigail May Alcott, Louisa’s younger sister, who was the inspiration for the character Amy. The green tea is enhanced with apple and honey flavoring, as well as cornflowers, to pay tribute to the place that was considered their sanctuary.

A delightful blend that offers crisp green apple taste with mild notes of honey sweetness. As the March sisters teaches us a lesson or two about life, romance, success, and the bond of family, we encourage you to brew this lovely mixture. What better way to enjoy the movie than with a cup of Harney Tea?
