Cooler Temperatures. Warmer Teas.

Cooler Temperatures. Warmer Teas.

Mike Harney Spills the Tea: It’s a Family Affair Reading Cooler Temperatures. Warmer Teas. 3 minutes

There’s a week every fall when the pitcher of iced tea sits half-full in the fridge, and the kettle goes on instead. We wondered which tea our customers switch to when that happens. So we looked back at last year’s orders. These seven all pick up once the weather turns cool!

Simple and understated, yet full of warming flavors, our caffeine-free Organic Ginger Lemon combines the spicy, sweet notes of ginger and ginger root with a bright twist of lemon, creating a cup that’s easy to enjoy at any time of day.

Nothing counters cold weather like spice, and our Organic Rooibos Chai has spice to spare. We’ve topped a base of caffeine-free organic rooibos with the flavors of cardamom, nutmeg, cinnamon, coriander, and fennel seeds: all organic, and all delicious.

Our attempt to combine the body and aroma of black tea with the rich flavor of aged bourbon yielded Black Cask Bourbon. We’d say the experiment is a success. Prominent bourbon notes of vanilla, caramel, and smoky oak sit on top of a smoky black tea base, creating a cup that’s perfect for slow, steady sipping.

A fruit-filled ode to the light, sweet leaves of Mutan White tea and the crisp flavors of Bartlett pears, our Heirloom Bartlett Pear blend adds nutmeg and two different kinds of cinnamon to create a soothing, beautifully layered infusion.

Reminiscent of warm pancakes and syrup, our New England Breakfast is a luxurious black tea infused with maple, creating an East Coast brew that’s creamy, yet spirited.

Our Decaf Hot Cinnamon is just what you’d imagine: our best-selling Hot Cinnamon Spice, with barely a trace of caffeine. Perfect for chasing chills, this black tea blend uses three types of cinnamon, orange peel, and cloves to create an assertive cup that’s spicy and naturally sweet, with no sugar or sweeteners added.

An especially fitting choice for anyone who likes a little spice in their cup when temperatures start to fall, Ginger's Oolong presents the naturally warming character of ginger, paired with our peachy and delicious Formosa Oolong tea.

Let the Cozy Season Begin

Granted, it’s never easy to say goodbye to summer. But there’s a bright side to those cooler temperatures: they give us the perfect reason to slow down, reach for our favorite mugs, and return to the comforts that only a hot cup of tea can provide. Until next time, I wish you many cozy cups.
