As proud 1% for the Planet members, Earth Day is an especially exciting time of the year. We love celebrating this beautiful world around us and the amazing people that inhabit it. We have been watching how you Harney tea fans reuse your tea tins instead of throwing them out and are absolutely blown away by your creativity and compassion for this planet. Whether you buy tea in bulk and refill your tins or use them to plant an indoor herb garden, we love seeing what you do with your tins after you have finished what’s inside. We might be biased, but we think that Harney fans are the most innovative people out there, which is why we wanted to feature some of the exciting ways you’re reusing your tins. Check out a few of our favorite ideas below.

I love the tins, I reuse by buying the bulk sachets and refilling. Best place to store tea. Barney is now my go to tea!! I found them during quarantine and keep purchasing more.

People go through many tea tins a year. How many birdhouses do we need. The trash that this creates is unconscionable. Every one of these is going to take up space on planet earth for thousands of years. I won’t order any more tins because not being able to recycle them makes me feel terrible.

Would be great if the company started a program to be able to return empty tins either through a retailer or via mail.
