Lover's Leap

Lover's Leap
Description
Lover's Leap takes its name from a dramatic cliff above Nuwara Eliya, one of Sri Lanka's highest tea-growing regions. Mike visited the estate himself, and what struck him was the weather: the altitude keeps conditions in constant flux, shifting between sun, cloud, and rain in the span of an afternoon. That unpredictability produces lush, well-watered plants, but without the pronounced dry seasons that characterize Dimbula to the west or Uva to the east. The result is a tea with a gentler personality, unhurried and understated in the best sense. It's well suited to an afternoon cup, especially with a splash of milk and a little sugar, in the classic British tradition. For those who find high-grown Ceylons too brisk, Lover's Leap offers the same highland origins with a softer, more approachable disposition.
