Tea Party Decor

Whether you are hosting your party outside in the garden or indoors, fill your space with freshly cut flowers. All of your guests will be getting dressed up for the event, so break out your china and set your tables in advance. Be sure to place a small spoon to the right of each plate for stirring tea, a small fork to the left of each plate if serving cakes, and one or more knives between the plate and the spoon, with the blades facing the plate when serving jams or other spreads. Your attendees will appreciate the extra effort you put into making sure every detail has been taken care of.

Tea Party Drinks

Stock up on all of your favorite Harney teas a couple of weeks before the party so you can master the brewing process for each type of tea you’re providing before your guests arrive. If your attendees are new to tea, we recommend doing a “tea tasting” and giving your guests the opportunity to try them all and choose their favorites. If you want to take things up a notch, offer champagne or make one of these tea cocktails.

Tea Party Food

No tea party would be complete without some delicious finger foods. Offer your guests a selection of tea sandwiches and salads to munch on while they enjoy their tea and fill your dessert table with an array of small cakes or macaroons. These pastel pastries are the essence of spring and are the perfect sweet to top off a light lunch.

Tea Party Favors

Our colorful tins are perfect favors for a spring gathering and make lovely vases once all the tea has been drunk. Remember which guest liked which tea during the tea tasting and send them home with a tin of their own. Our Mother’s Bouquet tea would be especially fitting for a Mother’s Day tea party.
