Soba Roasted Buckwheat, Yerba Mate Licorice, and Bamboo Tea are among the Harney family’s favorites from this collection. Soba Roasted Buckwheat is a traditional Japanese specialty that my mom Brigitte fell in love with on our visits to the former Takashimaya on Fifth Avenue in New York. Soba is naturally caffeine-free, with a delightful toasty flavor and nutty undertones. If you’re feeling experimental, this tea can also be eaten and cooked with. My dad, Mike, on the other hand, created Yerba Mate Licorice by blending two highly caffeinated herbals, Yerba Mate and Guayusa. With a touch of licorice for taste, this blend was designed to keep you going stronger (and a bit longer). The entire family fell in love with the taste of fresh bamboo during our travels to Chinese tea farms. We are pleased to offer dried bamboo leaves to prepare as a tisane.
