Rwandan Rukeri

Emeric Harney had the pleasure of traveling to Rukeri Estate years ago, beginning our relationship with this estate. A beautiful estate with bright green, rolling hills that's just beside a very well-known lake in Africa, Lake Kivu.

In memoriam to a great tea man, Joe Wertheim, we offer this tea from his estate in Rwanda. Joe established it many years ago, and it has become a desired source of tea in many blends. This particular tea is made in the orthodox way (rather than the stronger CTC way that produces familiar leaves that look like pellets), so it is a more mellow and sophisticated offering of Rukeri. Please try one of Africa’s finest teas.
