Taiping Houkui

A hand rolled style of one of China’'s best green tea. This spring we visited the lakeside village that makes this special tea. It was great to see the ladies hand roll the large leaves and then they flattened out in that press. Most Taiping Houkui is now made by machine, so it is a “nice” find to have this hand rolled traditional green tea. Please note that it is one ounce and we put it in a big bag to make sure you enjoy the large leaves.

Please put 2-3 grams (10-15 large leaves in a  heat resistant glass or teapot, add 175º hot water and steep for 3-4 minutes.
