Namring is a huge estate (even by Darjeeling’s standards) with large changes in elevation. So the estate is divided into Namring and Namring Upper. This tea is from the Upper part of Namring, which generally makes the better teas. So it was in 2013, when Darjeeling estates struggled to make a drinkable tea. We tasted and tasted and were happy to find this lovely tea. Second Flush is the later season that is made in June and the flavors are darker than the greener First Flushs made in the spring.
Medium sized twisted dark brown leaves. There is the occasional lighter tip.
Medium brown clear liquor.
Light notes notes of cooked fruit.
