Our Review
Namring is a huge estate (even by Darjeeling’s standards) with large changes in elevation. So the estate is divided into Namring and Namring Upper. This tea is from the Upper part of Namring, which generally makes the better teas. So it was in 2013, when Darjeeling estates struggled to make a drinkable tea. We tasted and tasted and were happy to find this lovely tea. Second Flush is the later season that is made in June and the flavors are darker than the greener First Flushs made in the spring.

Namring 2nd Flush Darjeeling

One can count on Namring to make very good teas, even during a trying season. Namring 2nd Flush Darjeeling is one of the very few Darjeelings that has cooked fruit and muscatel flavors.

Great all-around AV2 Clonal 2nd flush
Average Review:

I have enjoyed countless Darjeeling teas and I love the muscatel clonals overall. This Darjeeling is far better than the much more expensive Kairbetta Frost [as of 2015]. To me it represents a good 2nd flush clonal that I would pin as the Darjeeling tea that most averagely represents the greatness in all 2nd flush clonals, if not the greatness in all Darjeeling teas in general.

Must agree, pleasant but not outstanding
Average Review:

This is one of my first attempts to seriously distinguish among Darjeeling teas. I gather this tin was from the 2013 harvest and that it was a difficult year for a normally reliable tea plantation. For that reason I will watch future reviews and possibly purchase again, but at this time I prefer the Risheehat 2nd Flush.
