Namring is a huge estate (even by Darjeelings standards) with large changes in elevation. So the estate is divided into Namring and Namring Upper. This tea is from the Upper part of Namring, which generally makes the better teas. So it was in 2013, when Darjeeling estates struggled to make a drinkable tea. Medium sized twisted dark brown leaves. There is the occasional lighter tip.
Medium brown clear liquor.
Light notes notes of cooked fruit.
There are cooked fruit flavors and some of the elusive muscatel grape flavor. However it is lighter than most years
